Relocating to Florida

I have finally found a place in Hollywood Florida which is in between Fort Lauderdale and Miami which is perfect for me.  School in Fort Lauderdale 15 minute trip and be casual in Miami which is also a 15 min trip.  I decided to live close to Fort Lauderdale because i was told that traffic is a nightmare depending on the times so i did not want to take a risk and go the shortest distance. 

THE PLACE:
 The place i got is a three story townhouse, 3/3 top floor is the master bed and bath (not me), the second has two rooms the kitchen, living room, laundry room, and a bathroom.  The first floor just has a full bath.  For $600 a month thats not a bad deal and utilities are taken out of the $600.  This place is in walking distance to downtown, 15mins, hell i'll take that im 23, by then 24, work out all the time i can use the extra exercise.

Little big planet is doing it real big with its second release----Little Big Planet.  Apparently over the year(s) users have created over 2 million levels because that is the backbone of this game.  The purpose of this game is to do the story mode, learn how to mod and use tools, create your own levels and play other users levels.  I own the game personally and this game deserves all the awards its received.  No its not a RPG, or sports, first person shooter games.  More of a puzzle, adventure game in which themes can range from love and hearts to zombies and monsters the different combinations are unlimited!!!

CULINARY SCHOOL!!!!

Just did the online orientation which basically was a quiz asking me questions on navigation and what not.  I mean if I can write blogs, have a B.S. in computer science, it can't be that hard right?  WRONG!!!  It was the hardest thing I couldn't have done.  There were 12 questions with no time limit and you can retake the test as many times as you want to as long as you get all 12 questions right before classes start next week!!!!

Sigh *smh it was rough.  Good thing is my loans went through fine, at the last moment like the really last moment, all i have to do now is find a place to live and a job.  My dad wanted me to live on campus but since this school works on the quarter system, and going to a semester based school, which meant i would have to pack up all of my stuff multiple times a year and drive back to Va from  Fort Lauderdale, FL.  Lets see that would average around $400 each trip four quarters so $1600 a year to just travel from home to school if i lived on campus.  The campus is weird too because it is 3 miles from where you are actually doing you're studies.  Plus it would have cost $655 or something like that a month for each quarter.  Doesn't sound bad for rent right?  Its just for one room, utilities, and sharing a bathroom.  So it would be just like a regular school's room and board.  So why not just live off campus and pay $600 or $700 for a living room, kitchen and alot other things?

ken Block aka Gymkhana Master

 

Ken Block has have youtube going crazy with his insane drifting skills or more formally known as gymkhana.  Ken is the co owner of DC shoes and an inspiring rally driver who is know competing in the World Rally Championship.  He has the been one of a few Americans that has every competed in the WRC.  Ken has also participated in Summer Xgames regularly as well as the Baha 1000 2009 in Mexico.  Ken says that in the off season his Gymkhana sessions are a way to sharpen his skills for rally racing.  With over 12 million hits on youtube this guy is more than a fan favorite in the motor sport industry.

He has a new project coming up his third Gymkhana video.  How rare his care was debuted on 4/20, of all dates to choose.

Driving the way he does takes years and years of practice, knowledge, and skillfully applying certain concepts like throttle control, braking, entering and exiting corners and etc.  I wonder how many kids wrecked their cars trying to do similar stunts that Ken does for a hobby let alone for fun.  Good thing he lives out in Cali where there are vast abandoned airports to practice on as well as dirt for that good ol rally feeling--->http://auto.dcshoes.com/media/features/2010/04/2__.jpg

Is one of the funniest things to witness!! I do not understand if you have the top down completely exposed to the elements but with the windows all the way up.  Is it because you do not want the wind in your face?? Why not get a regular sedan, coupe with a sunroof then??

People make it seem like its the ultimate communication platform there is.  People will ask, "Do I have you on facebook?"  In my case this doesn't mean anything because I'm that dude that just blends in with everything and let me hobbies and interests express themselves.  I mean yeah its good to stay in touch with high school, college friends but most of the time its a gateway to online addiction.  Online addiction is if you find yourself addicted to being on online social media outlets like Twitter, facebook, myspace, etc.  I have all three but i limit my use.  Usually on facebook i just see what everyone is up too and talk to a view "selected" people here and there and update here and there but nothing extreme.  I mean nothing extreme because most peoples pages have so many widgets or applications that just makes their page look messy. 

I do applaud for those who use Facebook for the right purposes, getting the message out, remembering someone, events, promotion, advertising etc.  Even though advertising is annoying from time to time for random ads that do not apply to me what so ever. 

Oh well seems like being an average person online means i guess I'm not talking to people, girls, the right way.  If I don't have an interest in you why would I b.s. with ya you know.  If I'm talking like, " hey how are you...what are you getting into....."  making a conversation do you think i want anything else???  In this day in age saying good morning means " you're attractive I want to get with you" for some strange odd reason.  I am mentioning this because there has been multiple times in which people say, "you deleted me off facebook!!!"  to those persons i guess that's the ultimate slap in the face or something.  In my eyes and people who don't care about the Internet like that we say, "its just facebook..."  And if i do have someone on facebook and try to make sure they're alive and well i get oh I'm about to get off here; even though they have been online for hours at a time..hmmmmm don't complain about facebook and not do anything about it.  The whole point of social Media sites is either catch up with old friends, get to know people, network, advertise, campaign, inspire.  A good phrase that a Hip-Hop artist of mine i love says "ON TO THE NEXT ONE" this phrase can be used for anything and everything!!!

Gumball Rally 3000 2010

There are only a few vehicles that the average person can afford in this thing haha.  Gumball 3000 Why is it called the gumball rally?  I know the 3000 represents the mileage or kilometers they travel between various countries.  According to good old Wiki, the race represents 3000 mileage of driving on public roads, which takes out the notion of having 600hp vehicles.  Good thing it doesn't rely on speed and time because it is not the average speed vs. time race.  There has been various incidents with drivers getting citations because of speeding and even cars being confiscated, and some even jailed because of their speeding!  But it is more of a road trip, adventure, site seeing event more than anything.  And showing off fast, exotic, classic cars as well. 

The event started in 1999, damn now I feel old when people research it, and over the years the vehicles have been more outrageous then the previous year.  More or less you have an entry fee of $46,000.....good luck with that buddy.

Opinion aka Point Of View )POV(

Someones personal opinion is what his or her take is on what is going on, what happened, what will happened and so on and so on.  Not really recently but for as long as I can remember people have been shooting each others opinions down if it conflicts with theirs.  One good example is Religion.  When one persons view of God is conflicted with another that religion is typically named as 'wrong' or a 'bad interpretation' of that religion.  Why do we think this?  Is there such thing as a persons own choice to view the world in his or her own eyes and not through the eyes of others?  I highly noticed this one year in college when a local christian church has invited Muslims to share their belief to whomever wanted to listen.  It was the persons choice to leave before the Muslims came their if they did not want to hear or believe what the Islam faith is but they stayed.  When the Muslims were speaking on how they view God and his prophet questions were asked multiple times making references in the bible on how to reference God and his prophet.  Then I constantly keep hearing, "They are wrong.  That's not right because God is this...God is that."  This sickens me more than anything else claiming a religion is wrong, what makes either religion superior than one another?  Not to mention that Christians and Muslims engaged in the Crusades which also, on another level, tried to showcase which religion is superior to one another.  In my opinion  no religion is superior or above the law than any other and all religions should carry the same merit in the world. 

In this day and age person opinion has no merit.  If someone asks you a question and you give him or her the your point of view and if it does not agree with the other person then you are either being mean, rude, disgusting, and the list goes on and on.  This is another incident in which a persons Point of View has no weight.  In todays world we all want to act and think alike which is a very bad concept to uphold without choice the world would be a very boring and sad place.  The world would be like those government controlled society movies in which every person is the same, no variety, no choice.  People want other people to dress, walk, talk, eat, drive, play, behave in a certain way that is similar to them.  Choice is what makes us have different point of views.

Another incident in which we contradict each others opinions is in POLITICS.  We argue that this side is the wrong side to be on because of this that and this.  Or that this side is bad because of blah blah and blah.  When the 2008 elections was going on I tuned into the News and listen to every candidates policies and views, even though once they are in the office they do what ever they want to, and made my decision based off of that.  I am a democrat by nature but I am slowly turning not to be on any side but to be an American and want whats best for the whole nation.  This means my views on politics could change every year to year decade who knows.  After the election I have had, don't take this in offense, but multiple white people came up to me and bluntly said ," You voted for Obama didn't you?"  In the back of my head I was like I can not believe you just told me that.  Everyone made the 2008 election seem like a White verse Black bout.  If Obama was a republican I would have never voted for him.

Terrorism

 How can someone describe the word or act of Terrorism?? People use this word more in todays society than the past for some strange reason.  Looks like every time if there is a foreign threat or person coming to the U.S. from the middle eastern region is automatically referred to as a terrorist regardless of the act.  Well, except for the underwear bomber who is African but also had Muslin ties but the other 99.99% of the cases. People now consider terrorist to be Muslim even though that every single terrorist attack has been committed by a Muslim or someone of Muslim faith.  Fact# if every Muslim in the world was a terrorist/suicide bomber do you think the Muslim faith would still continue??  If terrorism is described as violent acts against non-combatants, also known as civilians, as spreading terror and unlawful acts of violence and war; wouldn't other cases in the United States be considered as terrorism?  For example the shootings at  Columbine, wouldn't that be considered as terrorism? But for some reason this incident is categorized as something different, in the school shootings section I believe.  This horrible event has the right definition as terrorism but not terrorism directly.  The Virginia Tech massacre when one alone gun man shot and killed unarmed students, civilians, but not terrorism why?? Because non of these persons where Muslim?  The Muslim faith are very faithful people to themselves as well as to others.
